Description

Panchakarma is an ancient Ayurvedic treatment modality that consists of five cleansing and detoxifying procedures aimed at balancing the body's doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha). These therapies are designed to remove accumulated toxins from the body, rejuvenate the system, and promote holistic health. Panchakarma is often prescribed to prevent diseases, treat imbalances, and enhance overall well-being.

The five main therapies in Panchakarma are:

  1. Vamana (Therapeutic Vomiting)

  2. Virechana (Purgation Therapy)

  3. Basti (Medicated Enema):

  4. Nasya (Nasal Administration)

  5. Raktamokshana (Bloodletting)

Syllabus

Chikitsa and its classifications;Antah-Parimarjana and Bahir-Parimarjana Chikitsa    
1.    Definition of Karma.  Trividha Karma for Shodhana.
2.    Principles of Chikitsa, Kriyakal.    
2.    Importance of Panchakarma in health and disease.
3.    Shadvidha and Dvividha Upakrama and role of Panchakarma therein.    
3.    Indications and contraindications for Shodhana. Applied aspects of Koshtha and Agni.
4.    Applied aspects of Trividha, Shadvidha, Ashta Vidha and Dasha Vidha Pariksha.    
4.    Importanceof Purva and Pashchata Karma in Shodhana.  Parihara Vishaya for Panchakarma.
5.    Applied anatomy and physiology of  cranial  nerves.    
5.    Samsarjana Krama. General knowledge of various Aushadha and Ahara Kalpana used for Panchakarma.
6.    Functions of various single muscles and groups of muscles, applied anatomy and physiology of joints.    
6.    Areas of research in Panchkarma.
7.    Methods of examination of the respiratory and cardiovascular system. Interpretation of spirometry and ECG findings.       
7.    Knowledge of equipment and instruments used in Panchkarma in ancient times and the possible modifications there in now.
8.    Knowledge and method of examination of various skin lesions.    
8.    Knowledge of quality standards of NABH
9.    Applied anatomy of the stomach, small intestine, and large intestine. Detailed examination of gastrointestinal system.

NOTE: 1. This course can be done both in English & Hindi Medium. 2. Course can be done regular, by correspondence, by Internet or in camps. 3.
